Last Verified: JULY 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of platoonwave.org and related online services operated by Platoon Wave, Inc. By accessing our website, submitting information, registering for an event, or making a donation, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. About Platoon Wave

Platoon Wave, Inc. (“Platoon Wave,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Florida not-for-profit corporation recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Legal name: Platoon Wave, Inc.
Federal EIN: 33-2519777
Florida charitable registration number: CH79134
Principal address: 201 N. Franklin Street, Suite 2000, Tampa, Florida 33602
Email: ops@platoonwave.org

Our mission includes supporting Gold Star families, veterans, and programs serving the Special Operations Forces community.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By using this website, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website or submit a donation through it.

If you make a donation or payment on behalf of a company or another organization, you represent that you have authority to act on its behalf.

3. Charitable Donations

Donations made through this website are voluntary charitable contributions to Platoon Wave, Inc. Unless a particular campaign expressly states otherwise, donations support Platoon Wave’s general charitable mission and may be used where the organization determines the need is greatest.

Platoon Wave endeavors to honor donor designations and stated campaign purposes. However, all donations remain subject to the control and discretion of Platoon Wave’s Board of Directors.

If a designated program becomes unavailable, fully funded, impracticable, or inconsistent with Platoon Wave’s charitable purposes, Platoon Wave may redirect the contribution to a substantially similar charitable purpose or its general charitable mission.

Unless expressly identified as recurring before submission, donations made through the website are processed as one-time contributions in U.S. dollars.

4. Payment Authorization

By submitting a donation or other payment, you:

  • Represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided;
  • Authorize Platoon Wave and its payment-service providers to charge the displayed “Total to Pay” amount;
  • Confirm that the payment information you provided is accurate; and
  • Acknowledge the donation and refund terms presented during checkout.

Charges generally appear on cardholder statements as PLATOON WAVE INC. A cardholder’s bank or card issuer may add location information, transaction dates, reference numbers, or transaction-type descriptions.

Platoon Wave may decline, cancel, or refund a transaction when reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, unauthorized payment activity, technical errors, legal requirements, or payment-processing restrictions.

5. Donation and Refund Policy

Charitable donations are generally final and non-refundable once successfully processed. This policy helps Platoon Wave responsibly plan and administer its charitable programs.

Platoon Wave will review requests involving:

  • Duplicate transactions;
  • Incorrect donation amounts caused by a processing error;
  • Unauthorized use of a payment method;
  • Transactions completed because of a documented technical malfunction; or
  • Other exceptional circumstances determined by Platoon Wave.

To request a review, contact ops@platoonwave.org within 30 days of the transaction. Include your name, transaction date, donation amount, and a description of the issue.

Do not send a full card number, card security code, bank account number, or other sensitive financial information by email.

Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund. Approved refunds will ordinarily be returned to the original payment method. Platoon Wave may revoke or amend any associated charitable contribution receipt when a donation is refunded.

Event registrations, sponsorships, auctions, or other transactions involving goods, services, admission, or donor benefits may be governed by additional refund and cancellation terms disclosed at the time of purchase.

6. Tax-Deductibility and Receipts

Contributions to Platoon Wave may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law. A donor’s eligibility to claim a deduction depends on the donor’s individual circumstances and whether the donor receives goods or services in exchange for the payment.

Platoon Wave will provide an electronic acknowledgment or receipt containing applicable transaction information.

When no goods or services are provided in exchange for a donation, the receipt will state that fact. When goods or services are provided, such as event admission, merchandise, meals, or sponsorship benefits, the receipt may identify a good-faith estimate of their value and the portion of the payment that may qualify as a charitable contribution.

Platoon Wave does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Donors should consult a qualified professional regarding the tax treatment of any contribution.

7. Events, Tickets, and Sponsorships

Platoon Wave may offer event registrations, tickets, sponsorship packages, or other opportunities through this website. Additional terms may apply to those transactions, including event-specific cancellation policies, attendance requirements, transfer restrictions, and descriptions of donor benefits.

An event payment or sponsorship is not necessarily fully tax-deductible. Any deductible portion will generally be limited to the amount paid above the fair market value of goods or services received.

Platoon Wave may reschedule, modify, relocate, or cancel an event when reasonably necessary. Applicable remedies will be communicated to affected participants.

8. Payment Processing and Security

Platoon Wave uses payment processors, technology providers, fraud-prevention services, and other service providers to facilitate online transactions.

Payment-card information is encrypted in transit. Platoon Wave does not retain full payment-card numbers or card security codes in its ordinary transaction records after authorization.

Limited transaction information may be retained for accounting, receipts, fraud prevention, dispute management, and legal compliance. This information may include:

  • Donor name;
  • Donation amount;
  • Transaction date;
  • Transaction reference number;

The website may contain links to third-party websites or use services operated by payment processors, event platforms, social networks, analytics providers, and other organizations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

16. Changes to the Website or These Terms

Platoon Wave may modify the website, its programs, or these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Changes apply prospectively when posted unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Your continued use of the website after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

17. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal proceeding arising from these Terms or use of the website must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Hillsborough County, Florida, unless applicable law requires a different venue.

18. Severability and Waiver

If any portion of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

A failure by Platoon Wave to enforce a provision does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.
